Dear colleagues:

The Cuban Society for Health Psychology and the National Group of Psychology of the Ministry of Public Health of the Republic of Cuba convene to the 6th INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON HEALTH PSYCHOLOGY, PSYCHOHEALTH 2011, to be held from November 14th to 18th, 2011 at the Havana International Conference Center, Cuba.

The objective of this important meeting is to contribute to the fluid and wide exchange of ideas among the participants of the event. The topics will deal with the methodological, theoretical and practical aspects of Health Psychology, which is the main discipline of the Conference, and its relation with other specialties and fields of knowledge, whose object of study is the human health.

The diversity of approaches and the variety of the multi and interdisciplinary papers that will be presented in the meeting will demonstrate the advances achieved worldwide in relation to the psyche and its increasing role and recognition in health prevention, promotion, treatment, rehabilitation and assessment.  

We, Cuban psychologists, are conscious of the challenge that represents working for the development of the psychological science, looking after its quality and efficacy, and most importantly, ensuring the accomplishment of the aforementioned objectives.

We will share our wide experience of more than 40 years of professional practice with the participants of the Conference, encouraged by the pressing need of knowing what’s going on in the world in the field of Health Psychology, and learning from your experience.

We are convinced that your participation in the meeting will contribute to the success of this significant scientific event, and that the hospitality and joy of our people will prevail in PSYCHOHEALTH 2011.
