Your credit card will be debited after making your reservation for the amount indicated at the time of payment. The charge will be made in USD or EUR depending on the selected currency, for the benefit of the merchant managing the payment, of which you will be informed at the end of the purchase process.
It is essential to present your passport or identity card at the time of check-in.
Reservations and Payments
We offer real-time room availability and instant confirmation for hotels in Cuba. If there is no availability at the confirmed hotel, Solways will guarantee a hotel of a similar category in the same city. Payments will be made in advance. Your credit card will be debited, within a period of 24 hours, after the reservation is confirmed. The charge will be in USD or EUR, depending on the selected payment currency. Total charge includes booked room, dining plan and taxes, as well as access and reservation fees. Extra charges, such as parking, telephone calls, room service, etc., will be covered by the client directly with the hotel. Your reservation will include late arrival, provided that the client informs Solways in advance. Cash payments will not be accepted at the hotel.
Cancellation and Refund
For all activities that are canceled outside the maximum time established, or where clients do not participate (no-show) in activities that have been previously purchased, the following penalties will be applied:
-If you cancel 5 days before the enjoyment of your reservation, Solways will penalize an amount of 15.00 USD, for administrative expenses, to the total amount paid for your reservation. During Peak season (Dec/22 - Jan/03), other cancellation policies apply. For more information, contact Solways Cuba directly.
- If you cancel less than 5 days before the enjoyment of your reservation, you will be penalized with 100% of the total amount paid. Only cancellations made for reasons of force majeure will be exempt from this penalty.
- Non-attendance (no-show) to enjoy the stay, is penalized with 100% of the total paid.
Complaint
If you are not satisfied with any of the services received you must formulate your complaint at the Hotel and send us your claim to the email: [email protected]. Once received:
- Solways Cuba will send the facts received to the service provider, for evaluation.
- Once the necessary information has been received by the supplier, Solways Cuba will notify the client of the decision made.
Pets
- Pets are not allowed, except at Meliá Las Américas (adults-only hotel) and Meliá Habana, where dogs are permitted.
- Reservations with pets are on request and subject to availability as the number of rooms is limited.
- An additional charge will apply per pet for each night of stay. (Maximum 2 pets per room)

Travel requirements for bringing your pet to Cuba
- Only dogs are accepted as companion animals.
- All breeds are welcome, with no weight restrictions.
- Maximum of 2 pets per room (A supplement applies per pet, per night).
- Service dogs:
Certified service dogs (guide dogs) have full access to the hotel at no additional cost. (Official documentation is required.)
- Pets are welcome in all hotel areas except: spa and sauna, swimming pools, gym, show cooking, buffet areas, and food preparation areas.
- Applies to the following room types: Meliá Habana – Classic and Classic Ocean View rooms. Meliá Las Américas – Garden Suite The Level room.
Required documentation to travel to Cuba with your dog:
- Official health certificate issued by a veterinary clinic in the country of origin. It must show evidence of internal and external deworming.
- Updated vaccination record (especially rabies and distemper).
- Travel certificate or visa for the pet, requested at the Cuban Consulate abroad.
- Documents must be issued no more than 10 days prior to travel.
- Border inspection: Upon arrival, official veterinarians will check the animal’s health status and verify that it is free of fleas and ticks.
- Cuban residents wishing to stay with their pet must meet the same sanitary requirements as pets entering the country: an updated vaccination record with the corresponding signatures and batch numbers, and evidence of internal and external deworming.
